Doing a review of Leinenkugel Berry Weiss was a guaranteed thing.
As I mentioned in my review of Black Raven Pilsner, I tend to peruse the beer aisle for anything new to try. When I saw the Leinenkugel Berry Weiss, I had to put it in my basket.
I recognized the Leinenkugel from the Summer Shandy that I’ve enjoyed in summer’s past. The change up from a lemon shandy, to a berry one sounded good
As for what is in the Leinenkugel Berry Weiss, I’ll quote their website:
Crisp weiss beer gets a little lift from an enticing blend of blackberries, elderberries and loganberries. Our Leinenkugel’s® Berry Weiss brings them together for a flavor that’s deliciously different and available all year long.
For me, it is a nice, light berry beer with a mere 8.9% alcohol and a meager 13.5 IBU. I’m not a fan of bitter beers.
Leinenkugel Berry Weiss Nutrition
For those of you worrying about your figure, a 12oz Leinenkugel’s Berry Weiss contains 27g total carbs, 27g net carbs, 0g fat, 1.2g protein, and 202 calories. This is just a bit more than a standard beer which comes in at about 150 calories.
Personally, I don’t worry about such things when I’m drinking. Worrying about such things is for weekdays when I’m training seriously.
Final Review of Leinenkugel Berry Weiss
One of the better beers I’ve tried, the Leinenkugel Berry Weiss is a delicious, light beer that is perfect for hot summer days, and relaxing with friends.
